IRS 501C3 Tax-Exempt Religious Organization Hoax going on in Josephine County #3 Part 2
Next group is the RV Saltshakers run by Jon Martin Clement – I have been harassed by him and his buddies for years but they harass everyone who is not an evangelical church member. He & his group are known for their hate speech. Jon was banned from the Boatnik parade. Jon has been convicted for using a weapon in GP City Limits. (A Daily Courier article)
In the summer approx. 2015 I attended Jon’s street evangelism class through River Valley Church. Jon teaches a street evangelism class with materials from Ray Comfort “The Way of the Master”. The class is an anti-Catholic, anti-homosexual, anti-Prochoice or abortion and very anti-any other religion classes. I attended maybe six sessions before letting Jon know I was Catholic. Within a day or two I started having lots of problems at work with the evangelicals starting including personnel in my GP City IT dept.
I went to the Grants Pass police dept. to file a hate crime as a citizen against several people who I worked with in the GP city and on the outside like Jon Clement & Steve Raycraft. GP police Capt. Moran immediately took me aside when I arrived and said River Valley was his church and they do not conduct themselves that way. I said they are a cult. I was told “No” by him and I referred to HR Director Diana Mejia who he set my provided information to. She shook her figure in my face and told me there is no harassment going on. No investigation was done. I will give more detail in my next newsletter.
Twice while I was attending Jon’s class the Josephine County ORTL director Steve Raycraft from the first newsletter called and coordinated some action with Jon. One night Jim Brumbach called to arrange Jon’s team to do some action in Ashland.

Months later I said on Facebook that RV Saltshakers Jon were being financed and supported by River Valley church. See FB Steve Raycraft reply and Jon Clement FB reply. Steve Raycraft states Jon’s class was canceled and he is no longer a member. Jon states River Valley church hasn’t been supportive in years. This was after I reported the hate crimes to GP PD going on at River Valley church. What these two persons did not understand was they just confirmed the hate crime classes were taking place at river valley church. It’s in their own words and I don’t need to prove it through sign in sheets. These people think because they suddenly stop a class and distance themselves that gets them off the hook.
Steve Raycraft answered to back up Jon’s statement – why? Both of them were trying to divert me from the main source “the RV Church”. What Jon Clement teaches is in line with the RV churches theology. Jon is presenting their message in a harsh way.
I believe Jon’s RV Saltshaker group is still being supported by the RV church but from a distance. Pro-Life leadership in River Valley church in my opinion at least at that time were using Jon to accomplish their goals. I think if they have parted ways it’s because Jon is now out of control. Many of the evangelicals in the county still see Jon as a hero for standing up for their faith.
I believe the City/County, Grants Pass PD and possibly the Josephine County Sheriff's let these hate groups operate claiming they cannot violate their 1st amendment rights. I think City/County personnel & churches like it as a way to intimidate the marginalized citizens, LGBTQ, minorities or anyone who is not evangelical. Or maybe it’s because these hate groups are really part of their system. I am not on the inside to hear the conversations between them. I can tell you through observation and emails our local elected officials have working relationships both with the churches and these hate groups. Our local elected officials directly influence management who is hired in the city & county, who in turn hire the public employees. We will see if I can prove this to you in future newsletters.
Let me leave you with one last thought. At what point does someone or an organization become a domestic terrorist or a threat to American democracy?
Have a great week! David
